Who's behind Gertrude & Loom?

Founded by Melinda McMillan, Gertrude & Loom is an Australian-based business designing original garments that engineer solutions to common fit issues experienced by diverse bodies.

Melinda collaborated with renowned Australian fashion designer Jenine Stibbard to create the first Gertrude & Loom collection. With a career spanning some of Australia's most respected fashion houses, Jenine has designed for Lisa Ho, Collette Dinnigan and Stuart Membery, she has brought decades of commercial experience, technical expertise and creative vision to the collection.

Together, Melinda and Jenine have developed garments that combine thoughtful design with exceptional fit, creating timeless pieces in natural fibres made specifically for plus-size bodies.
